Ouroboros

July 10, 2026

When the wave hits, will you descend?
Your hunger feeds upon its own lament.
Where do you start, and where do you end?

A life of regret—does mercy extend?
The price of freedom: you must repent.
When the wave hits, will you descend?

What can be cleansed when you cannot amend?
You scour every scar for the shape of intent.
Where do you start, and where do you end?

Or will you be lost when you’re condemned?
The cycle devours you without consent.
When the wave hits, will you descend?

With the weight of the guilt, how can you ascend?
A life you loved—a life you resent.
Where do you start, and where do you end?

Is this the life you meant to defend?
I watch you fall with every ascent.
When the wave hits, will you descend?
Where do you start, and where do you end?
